Workshop in Athens 21.12.2018
The “Modelling the end-users’ needs” workshop was held at ITML’s premises in Athens (Greece) on 21/12/2018. The event was aiming to get the first insights in the design of a Mobile app for energy end-users which are academy staff from HUA campus (Athens) named as target group 3 in the frame of the SIT4Energy Project. Around 10 academic representatives from HUA campus were attending the event. The main objective of the event was to present the participants the initial mock-up of mobile app to be deployed in the HUA campus and to get feedback from them as the potential end-users. The event has started by briefly presenting the SIT4Energy Project (the scope, objectives and expected outcome) and followed by illustrating the important insights as an outcome of SIT4Energy survey already accomplished on M6. After that the initial mock-ups of the mobile app. were demonstrated to the attendees. The participants had the opportunity to gather and exchange their ideas during the presentation as it was integrated by short intervals by letting them to express their ideas or comments, to generate feedback and to make notes. The event was very productive as the participants realised that the tool can help to monitor, analyse and keep track of their energy consumption and costs in real-time, by helping to uncover many hidden energy savings opportunities. The overall idea of mobile app was accepted by the participant as a suitable and easy applicable tool giving a complete control on energy consumption.
