“Energy Management Tools for Optimizing Prosumer Scenarios” Webinar
SHF, together with HOST, EIPCM and the municipal utility network called ASEW, hosted the webinar “Energy Management Tools for Optimizing Prosumer Scenarios” on May 26, 2021. The ASEW is an organization that assists municipal utilities with a wide variety of topics in the energy sector with legal, methodological or even written ideas and implementations. Since the ASEW network includes utilities from all over Germany, we reached the right target group with our webinar here to publicize and market the Smart Management Energy Dashboards for prosumers utilities. The webinar was about the overall change in the energy sector in terms of managing different prosumer scenarios in the future and what challenges and opportunities this presents for utilities. Furthermore, it was discussed how utilities can respond to the emerging change by presenting the SIT4Energy project with the developed tools. In order to get the participants completely involved in the topic and to present a visual understanding of the problem, the prosumer dashboard as well as the utility dashboard were presented in the form of a live demo and the positive effects were presented as a possible solution for coping with prosumer scenarios. Finally, the first calculated business models were touched upon, how utilities can react financially to the resulting revenue losses by increasing the self-sufficiency of households by selling the developed solutions.
The feedback was consistently positive, resulting in a lively and open discussion at the end of the webinar with the approximately 15 participants from other municipal utilities.
