SIT4Energy participated in the 19th IEEE Conference on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing (UIC 2019), held in Leicester, UK on 19-23 August 2019 with the paper “Redefining Micro-Moments for Improving Energy Behaviour: The SIT4Energy Approach” Konstantinos Peppas, Adamantia Chouliara, Apostolos Tsolakis, Stelios Krinidis, Dimitrios Tzovaras. The preliminary results of the initial experiment on using a mobile application for exploiting micro-moments were presented. In an effort to maximize user receptiveness to energy – related mobile recommendations, a dynamic and user-centered solution is proposed, which adjusts the moment the recommendation is sent according to the user’s state. The notification only arrives when the user is recognized as being in a state of “inactivity”.
